About Messiah Lutheran...
Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod (LCMS) Welcomes you
As a congregation of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod (LCMS), we confess that we are saved by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone.
Relying on the unerring Word of God, we affirm that one must be washed by water and the Word in Holy Baptism, and confess Jesus as Lord before receiving Communion.
We affirm that through the power of God's Word, Christ's real body and blood are present in the Sacrament, and are truly received in the bread and wine.
We affirm the need for repentance and a genuine confession of our sins in preparation for receiving the Lord's body and blood.
We affirm the importance of unity in the faith and a common understanding of these principles among the believers partaking of the Lord's Supper.
Therefore, we welcome to the Lord's Table members of all LCMS congregations, and those who have been instructed at Messiah Lutheran Church in our doctrine and practice of this Sacrament.
Others are requested to speak with Pastor Brynestad before receiving Communion.
"Touching Lives With Christ"
This is the mission statement the congregation choose to reflect the will of the members of Messiah Lutheran Church. We will endeavor to touch the lives of the people living in Corpus Christi and the surrounding area with Jesus Christ, by our words and actions.
To this end, we present to our community a live dramatization of the "Living Last Supper" each year during the Easter season. As an expression of God's love, and faith in the resurrection of His Son Jesus Christ, and for the hope, encouragement and enlightenment of all.
To this end, we offer a Mothers Day Out program for families, to provide Christian training, values, and education to their pre-school age children. And provide some respite to mothers.
To this end, we witness to our community through lemonade sales at Bay Fest each year. The lemonade carts are painted and lettered with Messiah Lutheran Church's name, our aprons emblazoned with the verse "let any man who thirst's come unto me"
To this end, we host community meeting and activities in our church. As well as information and programming, through out the year on various topics of importance to the community at large.
